The Ullman Center is both a classroom building and vocational education facility. The classroom portion consists of a central lecture hall, classrooms for art, agriculture, and civil technologies, along with offices for the instructors. This portion is separated from the vocational education unit by a level change of twelve feet. The Vo-Tech portion includes a large shop area, smaller work areas, a classroom, and storage rooms.
The major challenges overcome by the design were sound isolation between the various spaces while providing an elegant looking building on campus to house vocational services.
