The train cover, built with a combination of private, county, and CTEP funds, is designed to protect Unit No.1031 and tender form the elements.
The steel and wood structure utilizes traditional train station detailing with modern materials to create a period look for the covered platform.
When the museum eventually moves forward with future expansions the entire museum will reflect the architectural style of the traditional small town train stations scattered across the west.
